The Work

A journey that began 700 years ago.

The Divine Comedy is one of the greatest journeys ever told. Cantica Divina reinterprets Dante's work through the language of metal, turning verses, characters and atmospheres into a contemporary musical and visual experience.

Not a collection of songs. A passage through three worlds.

The Difference

It's not just music.
It's a universe.

  • Dante meets metal

The narrative force of the Divine Comedy meets the emotional power of metal. Not a song about Dante — the text itself, carried into sound.

  • Every canto has its own sound

Each episode takes the metal subgenre that fits its atmosphere: doom, death, black, gothic, progressive and symphonic. The music changes as the abyss changes.

  • A multimedia work

Music, images and narrative build a single immersive journey. The album is one part of it; the descent you can read and the world around it are the rest.

The Cantos

Twelve tracks. Nine circles.
One descent.

Every track marks a precise point in Dante's Inferno. This is the map of the album.

The Voices

The Keepers of the Journey

Dante's journey takes shape through symbolic figures. Each one embodies an aspect of the passage between darkness and light.

The Pilgrim

The voice of the journey. The one who crosses the abyss to understand themselves.

The Guide

The light that walks beside. Knowledge that outlasts fear.

The Ferryman

The one who opens the passage between worlds. Keeper of thresholds.

The Making

Art, technology and imagination.

Cantica Divina is built where music, narrative and new creative technology meet. Generative technology gives form to a universe that could not be built by traditional means, while artistic direction keeps hold of the final vision.

We say it here, plainly, rather than leaving it to be found out. This is a digital opera: the structure, the reading of Dante and every decision about what the work means are human. The performance is not. Nothing here is presented as a conventional band recording.

A machine can sing the abyss. Only a person can decide why.

The Calling

Enter the journey.

Follow the making of each canto. Read the meaning behind the figures. Be there when the next realm opens.

The Questions

Plainly, for the record

What is Cantica Divina?

Cantica Divina is a digital art project that sets Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy to metal in full: 100 cantos across the three realms of Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. Each canto becomes a track, and each track takes the metal subgenre that fits its atmosphere.

When is the first album released?

Inferno: The Song of the Abyss, Chapter I of the trilogy, is released on September 14, 2026. It holds 12 tracks covering Cantos I through XXXIV of Dante's Inferno.

How many albums will there be?

Three, one for each realm. Inferno is Chapter I. Purgatorio and Paradiso follow. No release dates have been announced for the second and third chapters.

What genre of metal is this?

There is no single genre, by design. Each canto takes the metal subgenre that matches its atmosphere, so the album moves between doom, death, black, gothic, progressive and symphonic as the descent goes deeper. Taken whole, the work is cinematic metal.

Is artificial intelligence used in Cantica Divina?

Yes, and it is stated openly. Cantica Divina is a digital opera: generative technology gives form to the music and the imagery, while artistic direction, structure and the reading of Dante's text remain human decisions. Nothing here is presented as a conventional band recording.

Who are the Keepers of the Journey?

The Pilgrim, the Guide and the Ferryman are the symbolic figures through which the work is voiced. They are characters of the opera, drawn from Dante's own cast — not performing musicians.

Where can I listen?

Inferno: The Song of the Abyss goes up for pre-save on August 3, 2026 and is released on September 14, 2026. It will be on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, YouTube, Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
